MAKING CONNECTIONS AT BBC
One of the best ways to make connections is through a Growth Group.
There are around 30 groups and certainly a place for you. All nights of the week are available
and there are some day groups. If you are keen to join a group please indicate on the Connect Card
or use the Growth Groups brochure available at the noticeboard in the foyer. Contact: Sally Burton 6254 6565.

ABOUT BBC KIDS
Koala Club (crèche) 1-3 years, Sat. 5pm, Sun. 8.45 & 10.30am in the crèche room.
PJ’s (Preschoolers for Jesus) 3-5 years, Page Pre-school (Sunday only)
Kids Own Grades K-6, Sat. 5pm, 9:00am & 10.45am in the Kids-Own Hall (following announcement)
Children are welcome in all our services. The foyer is available as a ‘cry room’.

ENGLISH CLASSES

Simple English Bible Study recommences at BBC Community Centre on Monday 3 February.

YOUTH & YOUNG ADULTS NOTICES

MERGE
Merge is in recess during the school holidays. Merge is a new “senior youth” program aimed specifically for people in years 11-13 (1st year Uni and gap year students most welcome). This event is held on Tuesday nights, at the Church Centre. Contact Andrew Robb 0438 610 894.

DEEPER GROUPS for all Students years 7-12 are welcome to join us in the Community Centre during the 10:30am service.

PRAYER PRIOR TO SERVICES

6:00pm join Pastor Clayton in the Church
Tuesday evening
7.30pm, in the Lounge Room at the Community Centre.

Retreats

SPIRITUAL RETREAT

“Be Still & Know I Am God” Sunday 5th July 1.30pm - 4.30pm at “Rivendell” 49 Oakey Creek Road, Wallaroo near Hall. This is an opportunity for a quiet space in a busy world to just spend with God. BBC WOMEN 2009

WOMAN TO WOMAN COURSE

A 10 week program designed to assist women to overcome the challenges of life. All women are invited to participate in this Care force Life keys course. It will run on Wednesday nights commencing Wed 5 July until 28 October, including 2 weeks break for school holidays.

Express an interest or pick up a brochure at the information window. Places are limited.

TEENAGE GIRLS AND OUR CULTURE

A workshop for mums and teenage girls (12 years and above) to look at the challenges facing teenage girls today and how we can grow strong young women in an image conscious world. Saturday 25 July at 7pm at the church centre. Cost is $5 per person. Women who are interested in this topic but do not have girls this age welcome to come along. Invitations are available at the information window to give to friends. RSVP before Sunday 19 July at reception or women@belconnenbaptist.org.au

 

EXHIBITION OF HOPE
Attention women. Do you have a creative gift? Do you express yourself through art that could be exhibited in a gallery settling? BBC in partnership with Karinya House will be holding an art exhibition from 17 November. Expressions of interest will be available in a few weeks. Even if you have not exhibited before, this event is for you! Email women@belconnenbaptist.org.au and you will receive an Expression of Interest form.

Playgroups

BUSY BEES PLAYTIME
This energetic group provides a friendly, accepting and relaxing environment, where parents can learn to help and encourage each other in their parenting roles, and where children are introduced to positive social interaction through large and small group play. Playgroup meets on Monday, Tuesday and Friday mornings 9.30am – 11.30am. Contact: Debbie Tary (6242 0605) or Katrina van der Sterren (6255 1770).

Craft/Leisure

CREATIVE LEISURE CRAFT GROUP
Men and women welcome. Various crafts available, tuition free of charge (some costs for materials).
Morning tea: $1.50 donation.
Creche: 1 child $4; 2nd child $3.
Wood carving: 1st & 3rd Wed each month 7pm - 10pm.

BBC LIBRARY
Our Library, which contains many books and resources, is currently shelved over in the Community Centre. For your convenience each Sunday there will be a small selection of books left on tables in the foyer for you to borrow, read and return. Please enter your name and book details in the borrowing book. Contact
