Alpha
Alpha is an excellent course on the basics of the Christian faith.
We periodically run both daytime and evening Alpha courses and
follow up through small group discipleship. Our aim
for this ministry is to encourage non-believers to believe
and new believers to grow.
Discipleship
Our passion is to see people grow as disciples of Jesus and become a godly influence for Him in their world. We provide a range of discipleship programs to nurture both ‘younger’ and more ‘mature’ Christians, in deepening their faith and growing more like Jesus every day.
Programs include:
- Faith Foundations — For new Christians
- Doing Life Together — Growing in Community
- RPM — Personal evangelism program
- Theological Study through Morling College
Equipping
The equipping ministry at Belconnen Baptist Church provides resources and opportunities to help you grow in your faith and deepen your walk with God.
Areas of ministry include courses, faith-building resources and information on church membership and baptism. The church library and a monthly bookstall called ‘Soul Food’ are also part of this ministry.
Courses for families and couples include:
- Marriage Preparation
- Marriage Enrichment
- Preparation for the Toddler Years
- Preparation for Parenting
- Growing Kids God’s Way
Mentoring
The ‘mentoring’ ministry at Belconnen Baptist Church builds people up in their faith through one-to-one mentoring relationships. These involve people in all age groups and stages of faith sharing their experiences and insights for mutual growth and encouragement.
Network
This ministry helps people to understand their God-given shape and to help them to be effective in ministry. Our aim for this ministry is to see everyone serving in their area of passion with their God-given gifts and relating in their own personal style — the right people, in the right place, for the right reason.
