Prayer

Belconnen Baptist places an emphasis on prayer. The aim for this ministry is to increase individual devotional and prayer life and to develop a strong commitment to pray for each other and our ministries at the personal, group and church level.  We seek to achieve this by a wide range of means including:

  • Telephone Prayer Chains — for urgent or confidential prayer needs.
  • Intercessors — for requests received on the Care Cards.
  • Prayer Meetings (weekly) Tuesday 7.45 pm for church and ministry needs.
  • Sunday am Prayer — Prayer for Sunday services and other needs.
  • Sunday pm Prayer — Prayer for Sunday evening service and other needs.
  • Young adults Eprayer — weekly prayer points for Young Adult Bible Study Groups.
  • Church Eprayer — weekly prayer points for adult Home Groups.
  • Quiet days — a time when our people can be still and know God.
  • Prayer Corner - a weekly section in the BBC Bulletin which encourages prayer.
  • Forty Days of Prayer - 40 days set aside at the beginning of each year for our people to pray for the year ahead - for themselves, for our church and special needs.
  • Grandparents Prayer Days - a time when our grandparents can come together to pray and for encouragement.
  • Parliamentary Prayer Network - opportunity to pray for our politicians at state and national level.
  • Prayer Seminars — a time of teaching and experience of prayer.
  • Prayer retreats — a time of experiencing prayer.
  • Other Prayer Opportunities — Occasional days of prayer and weeks of prayer.
